My experience with Dee Ann Newman

We finally were going to get our hearing, I started this process in January, filing numerous emergency hearings, getting pushed and pushed.  Finally got a trial date for August 27th.

Prior to August 27th, she said she had a family emergency, Dee Ann Newman requested for a continuance from our hearing scheduled for August 27, 2014.  Already 6 months when the hearing should have happened in 21 days or less, in accordance with Court House Rules.  She seemed to be motivated to destroy my loving relationship with my kids.

Well, she wasn't too busy to tweet and brag from her trip at the Ritz Carlton when she was supposed to be helping my family that same day.



My children and I were kept apart for another month.  :-(

By the way, she charged me $63 to write me a letter that she could not make the August 27th hearing.  Yes, I said that right.  I got charged for her need for a schedule change.  I was like, What?  I have asked several attorneys if this is right for her to do such a thing, and I was not surprised that unanimously, my feelings were confirmed.  She has to make a schedule change, because of her own personal needs, and she bills me for writing me a letter to tell me this.  I feel that this is just wrong.

By the way, I don't recall her apologizing for her need to change the date.

Our hearing finally ran through last week, dates coming.  But funny, on the 2nd day of trial, Newman and Bebereia were overheard in the hallway on the 6th floor joking about the amount of money Newman was going to make off me on this case.

She made no effort to verify or communicate in any way with me.  Instead, she chose to Judge me, based on the lies she has gotten from mom.

In our first hearing where she was present, she told the Judge that she read the 730 report prior to that day (that was the only day she spoke to me), and had no comments about the report at that time.

On our last day of hearings, in her closing argument, she said that she didn't read the report prior to meeting for those 5 minutes with me.   It's a shame that nobody holds these people accountable, but they have their power to mess up your life as they feel they wish to.
